Thank you for your participation in our experiment! [Nov. 3rd, 2006|02:00 pm]
We would like to take the time to thank everyone for participating in our experiment on the human psychosis as it relates to the effects of readily available mass media.

The journal entries below were created as an experiment in human reaction. Initiative researchers have concluded that persons in certain subcultural groups, who spend more time on the Internet, are more likely to react negatively to "outsiders" trying to join their online social cliques. This general conclusion applies to goths, "emo kids", role players, gamers, and widows/widowers. These are just a few of the groups we studied on such social networking sites as LiveJournal, MySpace, Facebook, Xanga, etc.

Those with more of an extroverted lifestyle were less nervous around cyber strangers and much more cautious about expressing emotion to them, whether good or bad.

We have found that these SUB CULTURAL persons are more likely to focus a majority of their positive energy on their online interactions, because these interactions are generally safer than those of the "outside" world. These people can avoid taunting, as well as having to live up to the pressures of "the real world".

We have found that quite often, these persons can be quite deviant; stolen software/music/movies and aggressive resistance to outsiders appears at alarming rates. At times this angst can release itself in violent ways.

We will gladly share more information on our study with you upon its release. If you are interested in reading the final report, please send an email to initiative@time12group.org

Thanks again for participating in our research!
